Job Description:
As a private caregiver for the elderly your role will be crucial in ensuring our client’s well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Your primary duties will include:
Companionship: Building a strong and supportive relationship with the client through engaging conversations and shared activities.
Assistance with Daily Activities: Helping with tasks like dressing grooming bathing and toileting while respecting the client’s dignity and promoting independence.
Mobility Support: Assisting the client with walking transferring and physical activities to ensure safety and prevent falls.
Transportation: Providing transportation for the client to medical appointments social outings or other necessary destinations.
Light Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and organized living environment including light housekeeping and laundry duties.
Medication Reminders: Ensuring the client takes their prescribed medications on time as directed.
Observation and Reporting: Monitoring the client’s health and behavior and promptly reporting any changes to appropriate parties.
Requirements:
- No prior caregiving experience is required; we will provide comprehensive training.
- A nurse license is not necessary; however a caring and empathetic nature is essential.
- Compassion and patience to provide the highest level of care and support to the elderly.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the client and their family members.
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role which may include assisting with mobility.
